Does Ubidots create a timestamp when the data is received?

I am trying to store data in my eeprom when I don’t have connection to the internet. When I restore that data and want to send it to Ubidots, I was wondering if Ubidots creates the timestamp when the data is received?

I am using a nodemcu logging temperature data.
Thanks, Neil.

Hi, how are you?

Yes, Ubidots allows you to create the timestamp when the data is received.

Are you using the Ubidots library for NodeMCU?

Doing well, thanks for the reply. I have not been using the library but I can if I am able send a timestamp to Ubidots along with the data point?

Reviewing the library, it doesn’t have support to send a custom timestamp as you need and the API does support.

I have created an issue in the library and hope the library for NodeMCU can support that soon, I’ll keep you updated if something

Thank you very much! I really appreciate your help.

You’re welcome. We’re here to help, hope you enjoy Ubidots

Hi @npatel023, I’m happy to tell you that now the request has been resolved and the library will let you send a custom timestamp along with your data.

Hope you’re doing well.
